Lawrence submitted a new resource:

Thread preview widget - Displays a preview in article format in a Page node of recent threads or new posts.

This add-on adds a widget that will display new threads, or threads with new posts, within an admin selected Page node. The list of threads are displayed in article format and can be set to be displayed above the Page node content, or below. The Page node selected should have the option Advanced mode checked.

Lawrence updated Thread preview widget with a new update entry:

New features

Added the following new options to the thread preview widget settings:
  • Bypass Page node requirement - if selected this widget will no longer exit if a Page node is not detected, allowing it to be used elsewhere
  • URL field - (optional) if the above option is selected you may choose to enter a URL here to generate the previous and next buttons. Depending on your set-up this may not be required
  • Include sticky threads (this option will add one new query) - if checked, sticky...

Excuse me, but let me ask, what does this plugin do?

It lets you to either set up a landing page (home page) using a Page node, or you can set it to be used as I have set it up on this site (see the first node on forum home).
